During some down time, between projects a few artists were temperately moved to Andy Ross Maximum Archery to take over some of the extra assets still needed. I was asked to create a rusty truck, abandoned in the woods. Below is the loading screen image another artist made which showcase's my truck in game “rendered in Unity”. I've also included some detail shots of the truck rendered in marmoset, by myself.
Upon doing my research I found many trucks that were abandoned in very lush wooded areas developed layers of moss, which I included in my texture. Later when the truck was placed in a fall like field environment I mentioned to the Lead that the moss was on a separate layer in the original photoshop document and could be turned off need be. However they choose to keep it on.
This truck had 3 levels of detail, but for presentation purposes here I’ve only shown the higest level.
